Awesome God!
i suddenly remembered this year's valentine's day.something interesting to share, which i've always forgotten to.
everyone loves valentine's day.
i do.
because it's a day i can evaluate how many couples are homosexual.
sorry. got carried away with my anti-gay issues.
it's never a special day, not for now at least.
i spent that day with ex cell group members at mind cafe, believe it, playing board games.
cool.
and then after everything, i boarded a train home.
the MRT column has 9 seats.
and in each column there's always one empty seat on every sides of the cabin i see.
i wanted that seat, no 94kg fat man would love to stand from douby ghaut to sembawang.
hmmmm.. then another big discovery
the 8 passengers sitting were couples.
it's not wrong, but i'll feel awkward sitting in the middle of 4 couples.
took a look at the standing lovie dovies, ALL were lovers, only some old people alone. i promise i'm not making this up.
they were holding either chocolate or roses. classic.
should had took a photo down, and play the spot-the-odd game.
it's an unbelievable sight.
let's sing....
"BARNEY IS A DINOSAUR FROM OUR IMAGINATION....."
everyone loves barney.
today Rev. Dr. A.R. Bernard preached.
and i typed Rev. Dr. in this polite manner because of my tremendous reverence for him.
what a depth of understanding.
he's so specific in the details of God's words.
he made a service looked like a bible school.
educate, encourage, empower
i read an article by Bill Frey.
i must share this story with you!
Bill tutored a blind student, John, at the university of colorado in 1951.
one day he questioned John how he got blind.
the student described an accident that happened in his teenage years.
The tragedy took not only his sight, but his hopes as well.
"I was bitter and angry with God for letting that happened, and I took my anger on everyone around me. I felt that since then i had no future, I wouldn't life a finger on my own behalf. Let others wait on me. I shut my bedroom door and refused to come out except for meals."
Bill was surprised because his student now displayed no anger or bitterness.
He asked John to explain the change.
John credited his dad.
His dad insisted the boy on house chores, even shutting high storm windows.
"They'll be sorry when I fall off my ladder and break my neck."
But he didn't fall, little by little he inched around the house and finished the chore.
The assignment achieved the dad's goal. John realized he could still work and reconstruct his life.
"I later discovered that at no time during the day had my father ever been more than four or five feet away from my side"
The father had no intention for him to fall.
Your Heavenly Father has no intention of letting you fall either.
you can't see Him, but he is present.
Jude 1:24
"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy."
